PRIVACY POLICY
Your lineup stays
in your browser.
Effective September 13, 2026
What this policy covers
This policy describes the Quad Chrome extension. Quad arranges YouTube TV players and controls which one is audible. Quad has no developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, or remote code.
Information Quad uses
| Information | Purpose and storage |
|---|---|
| Saved channel links and player names | Open your preferred starting lineup. Stored locally in your Chrome profile until you edit, clear, or reset them. |
| Current lineup and audio selection | Resume a session after a browser restart or extension update. The most recent channel links, player names, layout mode, audio selection, and mute state are stored locally. This is a current-session checkpoint, not a historical viewing log. |
| Display and control preferences | Position windows and apply spacing, audio-follow-focus, ring appearance, keyboard shortcuts, and onboarding preferences. Stored locally. |
| Managed tab and window identifiers | Control the players Quad opened or you explicitly selected for recovery. Stored in memory-backed extension session storage. Recovery discovery reads available YouTube TV popup windows locally for your review. |
| YouTube TV player documents | Read current channel URLs, manage media mute state, and fit the player view. Quad does not collect Google credentials, payment information, account profiles, or general browsing history. |
Sharing and network access
Quad does not transmit the locally stored information to its developer, sell it, or share it with advertising or analytics services. Quad does not use Chrome’s extension sync storage.
Player pages connect directly to YouTube TV and Google as they normally do to sign in, load channels, and stream video. Those services process data under their own policies, including Google’s Privacy Policy. Links you open to support or other websites are handled by their respective services.
If you choose to contact support, you decide what to send. The optional technical-details report includes extension/browser versions, operating platform, player count, and basic session state. It excludes channel links, player names, account details, and browsing history. Copying the report does not send it anywhere.
Deleting local information
Use Saved channels to edit or clear individual starting links. Reset settings clears saved links and preferences. The current recovery lineup is separate: Close players clears the managed session’s checkpoint, or use Start fresh when a previous session is offered. Closing players does not clear your explicitly saved starting channels.
Uninstalling Quad removes its extension storage, including onboarding preferences. Chrome-managed extension shortcuts and YouTube TV’s own cookies and account data are controlled separately by Chrome and Google.
Changes and contact
This policy will be updated if Quad’s data handling changes. The effective date above identifies this version.
